1) Payment:

Payment is accepted by cheque made out to McVicar Walden or by PayPal. Payment must clear before any service is provided.

Once a service has been provided, there is no right to refund, expecting those outlined as a consumer’s right.

If Expert Reader Report finds that a payment is over or under the cost of the service purchased, it will respectively refund or request additional payment.

2) Manuscript Submission

Manuscript's must adhere to the following guidelines: Manuscripts must be black Times New Roman 12 point font, double spaced, on both sides of A4

We can accept manuscripts electronically by email or file sharing website (for files over 2mb), but there will be an additional fee of 20p per page (to cover printing costs).

If you do wish to send your manuscript electronically, please also include a cover letter (including a word count and synopsis) and your manuscripts must be black Times New Roman 12 point font, double spaced, on both sides of A4

Expert Reader Report will automatically recycle your manuscript once service is complete. If you wish your manuscript to be returned, you must include an SAE.

You are also advised to make back-up copies of your manuscript, as Expert Reader’s Reports cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged manuscripts.

3) Services

For reports, once the client has received the report and has had a 30 minute telephone consultation with Expert Reader Report, the service will be deemed to have been fulfilled.

For face-to-face consultations, with a morning session as 9am-12pm and an afternoon session as 2pm to 5pm, the service will be deemed to have been fulfilled at 12pm or 5pm respectively.

Payment is in advance, and all payments must clear before any service commences. Due to the nature of services supplied by Expert Reader’s Reports, once a service has been fulfilled, we cannot provide a refund.

Reports will be completed and sent to the client from 3-5 weeks from point of ordering. This cannot be guaranteed, and each client will be informed of when they can expect their report once they have placed an order. An express service is also available (to be quoted individually).

Expert Reader Report reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion. In this instance, both manuscript and payment will be returned.

Expert Reader Report is a service from McVicar Walden. Any service, report, advice, and know-how remains the copyright of McVicar Walden and permission must first be obtained from McVicar Walden if any service, report, advice and know-how is used in any way other than as part of a manuscript submission to a literary agent or publisher.
